decoration, and gold lace for the uniforms of Officers of the

CORPS OF TOPOGRAPHICAL ENGINEERS
AND
DRAGOONS

Bullion decoration for the uniform of the Corps of Topographical Engineers (1838 - 1850). 

The oak leaf and acorn design was adapted from patterns in the National Archives and examination of several original uniforms.  This uniform was prescribed for the period .  From top to bottom are the collar, cuff, tail pocket, turnback, gold lace strip for full dress pant leg, and black silk on worsted strip for undress pant leg.

The collar, cuff, and turnback are embroidered on dark blue velvet and the tail pocket is on dark blue wool.  Buttons are not included.
