The oak leaf and acorn design was adapted from patterns in the
National Archives and examination of several original uniforms. This
uniform was prescribed for the period 1839 through 1851. From top to bottom are the collar,
cuff, tail pocket, and turnback. The gold lace strip for full dress trousers and
black silk on worsted strip for undress trousers are sold separately below.
The collar and cuff are embroidered on dark blue velvet and
the tail pocket and turnback are on dark blue wool. Buttons
are not included.
